Fans celebrated on the streets of Glasgow last night after their country's Euro 2020 final triumph against England.
Italy lifted the trophy after a dramatic penalty shootout victory at Wembley, leaving the Azzurri elated and the English in tears following the climax of the four-week long tournament.
A Glasgow Live poll conducted before the final found over 80% of Glaswegians would be supporting the team in blue in the showpiece final on Sunday evening and fans packed into bars and huddled around televisions to witness a nerveshredder of a match that went right to the wire.
England missed their final penalty to send the Italians into ecstasy in London, with wild celebrations in Wembley, at home and Rome and in Glasgow.
Video shot just seconds after the final whistle shows the moment a group of Italy fans celebrated in song and dance in the middle of the Merchant City, while loud cheers were also heard on Glasgow Green amid the festival atmosphere of the Euro 2020 Fan Zone.
Meanwhile, a number of supporters gathered in George Square waving Italy flags and singing songs to celebrate their country's achievement.
A contingent of fans also flocked to Queen's Park in Glasgow's south side, while car horns were beeping across the city in the hours that followed the Italian success.
Glasgow's Hampden Stadium hosted four matches during Euro 2020 over the past month, including two Scotland games against Czech Republic and Croatia and there were a number of fan events in the city throughout the last month, including the Glasgow Green Fan Zone which hosted every game of the tournament.
