If England are going to reach their first major final since 1966 then they are probably going to do so because of major contributions from their Manchester United and Manchester City contingent.
Raheem Sterling is the obvious contender to score or assist against Denmark on Wednesday night but set-pieces could play a major role in deciding this game and the Three Lions are undoubtedly strong in that area.
England’s defensive prowess from set-plays speaks for itself but they are also very dangerous in offensive areas, as emphasised by Harry Maguire’s towering header against Ukraine in the quarter-finals.
Quality from dead balls is key and that brings us nicely to Luke Shaw, who delivered the free-kick for Maguire to score and who had such a positive overall influence in Rome.

Two of Shaw’s three tournament assists (which is more than he managed in two-and-a-half years in the Premier League under Jose Mourinho) have come from open play and that could spell trouble for a Denmark side that have looked more vulnerable down their right hand side, conceding almost twice as many shots from that side of the pitch compared to the left.
Shaw’s influence down England’s left is growing as the tournament progresses and the Manchester United full-back is still very much in the reckoning in top Euro 2020 assist betting lists, for which he is 9/2 second favourite.
An assist against Denmark would see Shaw join Switzerland’s Steven Zuber on four he the 25-year-old looks a spot of value at 4/1 to provide an assist in the 90 minutes and help send England into the final.
