England top scorers: Where Tottenham star Harry Kane ranks on all-time list after San Marino win

Tottenham striker Harry Kane enjoyed a stellar Tuesday night, netting four times for England against San Marino.

Kane has endured a difficult start to the season with Spurs but has looked like his prolific self for the Three Lions in recent times.

The 28-year-old netted in three consecutive World Cup qualifiers back in September, finding the back of the net against Hungary, Andorra and Poland before notching a hat-trick against Albania on Friday evening.

The England captain then went one better against San Marino, scoring four goals in a 10-0 route to send Gareth Southgate's side to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Kane now has 16 goals for the Three Lions in 2021 as he now finds himself the joint-third highest top goalscorer in England history.

With 48 goals, he is now level with Tottenham legend Gary Lineker and just one behind Manchester United icon Bobby Charlton.

Derby County head coach Wayne Rooney still leads the way and is now five goals clear of Kane, who has played 53 games less than Rooney managed in an England shirt.
