England stars suffer blow as they won't benefit from latest big-money sponsorship deal

There would no doubt have been huge celebrations among the England squad when they got wind of the FA's latest sponsorship deal.

That is because the Daily Mail has reported that Three Lions chiefs have recently agreed a multi-year agreement with food delivery app Deliveroo.

The app allows users to order from food chains including Nando's and KFC and have it delivered direct to their front door.

However any hopes the Three Lions stars had of having a cheeky Nando's or Bargain Bucket delivered to their hotel rooms at St George's Park have been quashed.

Unfortunately for Gareth Southgate's men, England's state-of-the-art HQ in Staffordshire is a little bit too far out and is not among the areas where Deliveroo serves.

That will be the least of their concerns right now, though, as Southgate gets his players ready for their Euro 2020 qualifier against Kosovo on Tuesday night.

Ahead of that encounter at Southampton's St Mary's home, manager Southgate claimed England's frontline is as exciting as any other in the world.

World Cup Golden Boot winner Harry Kane grabbed a hat-trick in Saturday's 4-0 victory over Bulgaria to move him past Stan Mortensen and Sir Geoff Hurst in the Three Lions' all-time scoring ranks.

The England skipper not only has 25 goals from 40 international appearances but is complemented by the likes of Raheem Sterling and Marcus Rashford, with teenagers Jadon Sancho and Callum Hudson-Odoi knocking on Southgate's door.

"I think that they're as exciting as anything, really," Southgate said of his attacking unit.

"I remember going to Spain and thinking 'well, a really tough game, but actually you look at our front three and their front three on the night and I felt that we were strong'.

"And I've got to say, we've got Sancho and Hudson-Odoi who are going to push, and really push, so I think that it is exciting.

"You need to have players on the field to affect the games, but you need to have players that can come in and have an impact and I think we're in a healthy position."
