England star Jadon Sancho dedicates first Three Lions goals to late grandmother

England forward Jadon Sancho paid tribute to his late grandmother after scoring his first senior international goals in the Three Lions’ chaotic 5-3 win over Kosovo.

Gareth Southgate’s side conceded inside a minute at St Mary’s, but responded with five first half goals and look to be cruising towards an easy win in Euro 2020 qualifying.

However, the visitors struck twice more after the break, while captain Harry Kane missed a penalty, making for a far closer contest than had looked on the cards, in an error-laden performance.

Sancho set up England’s third, an own goal from the unfortunate Mergim Vojvoda, before being teed up by Raheem Sterling to open his international account, and then added a fifth in first-half stoppage time.

"It was a crazy game,” Sancho told ITV. “I'm delighted to score my first goal for England.

"The opener was a bad mistake from us but it was a great comeback.

"It means a lot to me personally, and for my family it is a special day.

"I dedicate the goals to my nan who was a big fan of me, but has sadly passed away."
