England squad train before Uefa Nations League semi-final vs Netherlands

Gareth Southgate's England squad trained at St George's Park on Wednesday ahead of their Nations League trip to Portugal.

Jordan Henderson was the only one of the 23-man squad to sit out full training, while captain Harry Kane took part as he bids to get back to full fitness.

Liverpool skipper Henderson has been given an individual programme following Saturday's 2-0 Champions League final win for the Reds over Tottenham in Madrid.

Kane played the full 90 minutes of the Final, but was lacking match fitness as he struggled to make an impact for Spurs.

England face Netherlands in Guimaraes on Thursday, with the final - in Porto - or a third-place play-off to follow on Sunday. Portugal and Switzerland meet in the other semi-final.

Meanwhile, Manchester City's Raheem Sterling is poised to win his 50th cap against Netherlands, and could prove to be England's main threat if Kane does not start on Thursday night.
