England seamer hopeful of return to Test team after talks with Brendon McCullum

Brendon McCullum England Ollie Robinson Sussex (Organization)

Ollie Robinson has revealed that England head coach Brendon McCullum and managing director Rob Key have been in contact regarding his potential return to Test cricket.
Robinson had been out of international favour since the India tour in early 2024 due to reported fitness issues and suggestions of a falling out with the team management.
Despite his absence, the 32-year-old seamer boasts an excellent Test record of 76 wickets at an average of 23.
Now captaining Sussex, Robinson recently scored a superb century batting at number 10 in a County Championship match, demonstrating his form.
The communication from England management suggests the door is open for his recall, with England seeking new-ball options for the upcoming series against New Zealand.
