There are no PCR Covid test slots left in areas of England today, it has emerged.
Hertfordshire, Suffolk, the Isle of Wight, Bristol, and Mendip currently have no PCR tests - the gold standard of coronavirus tests - available to the general public at walk-in and drive-in test sites.
The governments booking site previously said there are "none available" at every region in England while some slots are still available at sites in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The site has since been updated with most areas having slots available again.
PCR test kits which are posted to people's homes, usually arriving the following day, are available, the website claims.
The public are being advised to try again later if they cannot get a test.
Tests will not be available through helplines, the website added.

Downing Street has insisted there is significant testing capacity despite suggestions of difficulties finding PCR tests.
The Prime Minister's official spokesman said: "In terms of PCR availability, I don't have the latest but I would envisage further booking possibilities will come online later and, of course, there are in-person opportunities as well."
The Mirror reported earlier today that lateral flow tests - for people who haven't got symptoms have also run out for the second day in a row.
The government insisted on Monday that there was no shortage of kits as 'ample supplies' exist it shops.
Yet on Tuesday morning a new message on the gov.uk website said 111, 119 and 999 did not have access to any more tests - as well as none being available for home deliveries.
Boris Johnson reiterated that home test kits were available at pharmacies when he was challenged over the message on the website.

He said: "They can get those tests, we do have a ready supply of lateral flow tests.
"If you can't get one online for any reason, then there are ample supplies in the shops. But what I think, if I may say so, what that also shows is that people are doing the sensible thing, and getting tests as well."
On Monday, the UK Health Security Agency said that "due to exceptionally high demand, ordering lateral flow tests on gov.uk has been temporarily suspended to fulfil existing orders".
From today, contacts of people testing positive are being offered the chance to take daily lateral flow test, rather than isolating for 10 days.
