England will hope to win the Rugby World Cup for the second time in Japan this autumn.
The 2003 champions head into the tournament looking to banish painful memories of four years ago, when, under Stuart Lancaster, the Red Rose became the first host nation ever to be eliminated at the pool stage.
Eddie Jones' men finished second at the Six Nations after a hugely impressive win over Ireland was followed by a thumping of France, crucial defeat to eventual Grand Slam-winners Wales, a demolition of Italy and utterly bizarre 38-38 draw with Scotland.
England, who split a warm-up series against Wales before wins over Ireland and Italy, have been placed in Pool C in Japan alongside familiar foes France, Argentina, Tonga and the United States.
Seeking to learn lessons from the past, Jones announced his final squad weeks in advance of the deadline.
