England rugby star Ellis Genge stunned as masked thieves smash through car window in broad daylight

By Jon Doel

England rugby star Ellis Genge has shared footage of masked thieves breaking into his Range Rover in broad daylight.

The prop posted the video on Instagram appealing for help to catch those responsible.

The footage shows two people on bikes wait until nobody is around before one of them smashes through the back windscreen of the car and steals a rucksack from the rear parcel shelf of the vehicle.

The two then ride off immediately.

Genge posted on Wednesday evening and said: 'Broad daylight my car just been done. Middle of Berkeley Square, London.'

Using a police and telephone emoji, he added: 'Probably no chance but if you do see them about, do me a favour.'

Genge, 26, has just been named as Leicester Tigers' captain for the forthcoming season.

His side face the Scarlets tonight in a game you can follow live here.
