England ponder replacing Keaton Jennings with Joe Denly for second West Indies Test in Antigua

England were on Wednesday weighing up whether to replace Keaton Jennings with Joe Denly for Thursday's Second Test in Antigua.

Jennings hit a century in the first Test against Sri Lanka in Galle following a poor summer but has struggled again since, and Denly — who also bowls leg-spin — could be given his debut at the top of the order.

It appears possible that England will go in with a four-man seam attack, with Stuart Broad coming in for the ineffective Adil Rashid.

Chris Woakes has a minor injury so Sam Curran could keep his spot, though Mark Wood is also a contender.

Opener Rory Burns believes England must use last week’s heavy defeat in Barbados as a valuable lesson.

“Leaving the ground it was, ‘how do we respond?’ and to use it as a lesson, place a higher value on your wicket and transfer pressure back onto bowlers,” he said.
