England have named an unchanged 14-strong squad for the third and final Test against Pakistan as they seek to clinch the series.

The hosts lead 1-0 heading into the final Test match, which begins on Friday at the Ageas Bowl, after the second game was almost entirely washed out by rain. The third Test will feature flexible start times in an effort to ensure a result is reached.

England must now decide whether to go with the express pace of Jofra Archer or Mark Wood, both of whom can reach speeds of more than 90mph, after they were left out of the second game.

Sam Curran and Chris Woakes played the second Test, bringing more batting prowess amongst the bowlers in the absence of allrounder Ben Stokes, but could find their positions in the starting XI under threat if England opt for added pace in the attack.

England Test squad

Joe Root (Yorkshire) Captain, James Anderson (Lancashire), Jofra Archer (Sussex), Dominic Bess (Somerset), Stuart Broad (Nottinghamshire), Rory Burns (Surrey), Jos Buttler (Lancashire), Zak Crawley (Kent), Sam Curran (Surrey), Ollie Pope (Surrey), Ollie Robinson (Sussex), Dom Sibley (Warwickshire), Chris Woakes (Warwickshire), Mark Wood (Durham).
