England have confirmed their squad for the first Ashes test against Australia.
The series will get underway at Edgbaston on Thursday with England looking to complete a memorable summer double after their historic Cricket World Cup win.
They will retain the core of their all-conquering one-day side to take on Australia, with super over hero Jofra Archer fit to take his place in the squad.
Lewis Gregory and Jack Leach, who featured in the victory over Ireland have missed out.
Jimmy Anderson is continuing his recovery from a calf problem but is expected to be fit.
The first Test gets underway on August 1 at Edgbaston.
England have also confirmed Ben Stokes has been reappointed to Test vice-captain.
National selector Ed Smith said: “Though it is unusual to select a squad of 14 for a home Test, there are compelling reasons to do so here. Several bowlers are recovering from injuries or niggles.
"In addition, some bowlers who played in the World Cup are being closely monitored to assess their preparation for Test match cricket.
“The wider circumstances - a successful home World Cup campaign followed so quickly by a home Ashes series - are unprecedented.
"It feels sensible to select an expanded squad and leave a number of bowling options open for the final team selection.”
