England football fans assigned budget portacabins to stay in for 2022 World Cup

England's army of Three Lions fans will be staying in portacabins at the World Cup.

Budget accommodation for supporters at Qatar 2022 features cabins reminiscent of the prefab huts used on a building site.

The tournament kicks off in November and fans’ groups fear it will be the most expensive ever.

The cabins, with double and twin-bed options, will be the cheapest accommodation on offer to fans in the Middle East country.

The official tournament website says: “Explore a variety of casual camping and cabin-style accommodations designed for football fans.

"They offer a practical base for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

"Fan villages are located on the outskirts of Doha.”

Organisers have yet to reveal how much the cabins will cost.

England fans will also be crammed up to four to a room in bunk beds on cruise ships moored off the coast of Qatar.

A cabin to sleep four people on the MSC Europa will cost £486 per night for a minimum four-night stay.

Around 10,000 Three Lions fans are expected to make the 7,000-mile round trip to Qatar.

Gareth Southgate’s side go into the tournament as one of the favourites.

The Football Supporters Association has warned ticket prices are a concern for most fans.
