A football fan was forced to miss England's historic clash with Scotland because she was stuck in isolation waiting for a coronavirus test result.
Jayne, from Lancashire, is just one of many people who've been let down by costly tests brought from private companies listed on the government's website.
The 60-year-old and her nine friends who booked a holiday to Portugal have been besieged by issues from numerous companies, including missing tests and a false-negative.
Their experience, and those of the dozens of people who've claimed online that they've missed flights because of delayed results, raises serious questions about the coronavirus testing system.

Jayne, who works as a financial advisory company, sent off her five-day release test to RT Diagnostics on June 15 ahead of the big match three days later.
Over the coming days she called and messaged the company hoping for a response, but met a brick wall.
Finally at 12.02am on day ten of her quarantine - two days after the last fan had trudged their way out of Wembley - she got her negative day five results.
"I was very disappointed," Jayne told The Mirror.
"I was going to stop over in London on Friday and watch the match.
"Me and my friend who played football together had got the tickets for the Euros. It was meant to be a treat."
Jayne's friend Jean Macintyre also had a bad experience with a private lab.

She had emailed DAM Health cancelling her appointment on June 1 because of a Covid contact.
Two days later she received a negative test result from DAM Health declaring her fit to fly, despite never having taken the test.
"I now question the validity of the other nine results," Jean said.
"It is a money making industry. If it's not illegal it's immoral."
Rotha McNulty did make it to the European destination and back again, but had to wait ten days for her early-release day-five test from Dante Labs to arrive.
The 64-year-old transport business owner said: "They couldn't find my test. They said they're experiencing a high degree of testing.
"The testing system is horrendous. There is no standardisation. This is about people's lives."
On the morning The Mirror contacted Dante Labs, Rotha was emailed to say she'd receive a refund.
Karen Hamadi bought day two and eight tests from a company called Expert Medicals after her return from Portugal.

Because she did not receive two envelopes to send the swabs back in for her and her daughter, Karen posted them off together.
Somehow her daughter's was received by the lab but hers wasn't - on both day two and day eight.
"We've had no refunds," she said.
"I think it's taking money off people and not doing anything. You've no proof that they are processing them."
The numerous issues the friends have had raising concerns about the testing regimes required of those returning to the UK, which can costs hundreds of pounds per person.
Dante Labs, DAM Health and Expert Medicals are also listed on the government's website.
A Department of Health and Social Care spokesperson said that all commercial test providers of sample collection and/or test analysis must undertake a three-staged UKAS accreditation process to ensure standards are high.
“While we do not endorse or recommend any private Covid-19 testing provider, we are clear that all private providers must meet the minimum required standards," they added.
“Each provider is reviewed by the independent United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS), and the department carefully monitors issues raised by the public and we raise complaints with private test providers directly.
“Organisations can be taken off the lists if they are found to be non-compliant with any of the minimum standards, are not meeting their accreditation deadlines or have been raised as a possible public safeguarding risk to the department.”
A DAM Health spokesperson said: "We have now launched a full internal investigation into the matter and are taking appropriate action to ensure it does not happen again.
"DAM Health are part of the UK’s growing Covid testing sector which offers a range of tests for a variety of reasons, including travel and business.”
A spokesperson for Dante Labs said: "We would like to offer an apology to Rotha for the delayed arrival of her Day 5 test. Delays should not happen, and we understand the stress that is caused when people do not receive their test results in good time.
"Dante Labs has completed over three million tests in support of families, small businesses, and local governments since the pandemic began, and we have a strong track record of providing all major Covid-19 tests, as approved by the Department of Health and Social Care."
RT Diagnostics and Expert Medicals have been contacted for comment.
