England face huge Six Nations blow as Billy Vunipola set to be ruled out with broken arm

Billy Vunipola's Six Nations Championship looks set to be over before England coach Eddie Jones even names his squad amid fears he has broken his arm.

The barnstorming  No.8 was injured during the early stages of Saracens' Champions Cup tie with Racing 92 and retired from the fray after just six minutes.

And Saracens coach Alex Sanderson says they believe Vunipola has broken his arm.

Eddie Jones names his England squad for the Six Nations on Monday for their tough opener with France in Paris and Vunipola is poised to be his highest profile absentee.

This latest blow is among a long line of arm injuries for the 27-year-old.

He broke his right arm in January 2018, and then broke it again in June during England's tour of South Africa.

Four months later, he broke his left arm during a Champions Cup tie against Glasgow, which required surgery.

Losing a player of Vunipola's stature and ability would be a crushing blow for Jones and England as the blockbusting star gives them go forward with his dynamic ball carrying.
