A member of UEFA's executive committee has confirmed that Euro 2020 could be played entirely in England if fans are still barred across the continent.
The tournament was due to be played across a number of host cities in the summer of 2020, with the opening match at Rome's Stadio Olimpico.
The Covid-19 pandemic forced a postponement and, as things stand, matches are still to be played in their original locations, with Hampden to host a number of games.
The national stadium is the venue for Scotland's group fixtures against the Czech Republic and Croatia.
But with supporters still locked out across Europe, reports emerged over the weekend that the entire competition could be played in England.
Wembley is already hosting the semi-finals and final, while Steve Clarke's side will take on the Three Lions there in the group.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson has stated that all coronavirus restrictions may be lifted by June 21, depending on the clinical picture, and the England option is very much on the table.
Armand Duka, president of the Albanian FA and a member of the executive committee said on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli: "It doesn't depend on UEFA, it's up to the authorities in each country.
"They've decided to do it (let fans in) in England, we hope it will soon happen in the rest of Europe too.
"The hope is that Euro 2020 can be played with 50 per cent of fans in the stands.
"It's possible that Euro 2020 will be played solely in England.
"There are still four or five months left, let's see if the situation will change. If not, England remains a possibility."
