England captains Eoin Morgan and Heather Knight retained by London Spirit for inaugural Hundred competition

London Spirit have confirmed the retention of England captains Eoin Morgan and Heather Knight as their skippers for the men’s and women’s Hundred when it finally launches 12 months late next summer.

The Hundred was postponed this year due to Covid-19, but is set to begin in July.

In the men’s competition, teams are currently being reshuffled in a retention window.

Unsurprisingly, London Spirit, who are based at Lord’s, have decided to stick with their World Cup-winning captains Morgan and Knight.

Also retained are Middlesex captain Naomi Dattani and Dan Lawrence, Spirit’s local icon pick who has joined Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League

Spirit confirmed last month that they would also be keeping England batsman Zak Crawley in the men’s competition, where they are set to be coached by Shane Warne.

Crawley is now their Test player, replacing Rory Burns, who has moved to Oval Invincibles.
