England batsman Alex Hales is self-isolating after displaying Covid-19 symptoms upon returning from the Pakistan Super League.
Hales was one of several overseas players to withdraw from the T20 franchise tournament early as the coronavirus outbreak worsened.
A shortened version of the competition was due to conclude with semi-finals on Tuesday and the final on Wednesday, but organisers postponed both earlier today.
In a statement, the Nottinghamshire star said he returned to the UK on Saturday morning “feeling perfectly fit and healthy with absolutely no symptoms of the virus”.

Hales continued: “However, I awoke early on Sunday morning having developed a fever and followed the government’s advice of self-isolation, a process I am obviously still following having developed a dry and persistent cough.
“At this stage, it has not been possible to be tested although I am hopeful that might be the case later today so I can get absolute confirmation of my current health status.”
The 31-year-old is one of England’s most talented limited overs batsmen, but has not played for his country since being dropped on the eve of last summer’s World Cup over a failed recreational drugs test.
