Engineering group appoints chief operating office to support its growth plans

Edwin James Group has appointed Christopher Kehoe as chief operating officer to support its growth plans and drive integration across the company’s operations.

Kehoe brings more than 25 years executive leadership experience to the Uddingston-based engineering group, which is backed by Aliter Capital.

The company said he had a track record in developing customer-centric cultures, service delivery and focusing on people development.

Kehoe joins from EMCOR UK Group where he was group executive director.

In his new role his primary focus will be to align the Process Services business, establishing a longer-term strategic vision to create growth.

Edwin James Group offers mechanical, electrical, energy and process engineering to a range of long-standing clients from global brands and public bodies to thriving independents.

Christopher Kehoe said: “I’ve joined Edwin James Group at a key stage in its evolution.”

He said the business has “huge potential for expansion” and he would drive “organic growth across the entire business and leading the drive to focus on our valued customers.”

He added: “Developing and retaining talent is a key priority for me and I intend to build on the investment and achievements of the team over recent years which will ensure the business is in solid strategic shape for years to come.”

Kehoe is also a non-executive director of industry body, The Institute for Collaborative Working, which seeks to bring commercial, government and academic arenas together to help build strategies for the future and create better business relationships.

Edwin James Group has a presence throughout the UK, with offices and service centres in Uddingston, Aberdeen, Inverness, Burton on Trent, Swadlincote, Louth, Newcastle, Peterborough, Daresbury, Tapton, Reading and Mildenhall.
