Engineering firm opens new office in Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc

Engineering firm Mabbett has opened a new Scottish office within the Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc (MSIP).

The Dundee-based estate is a joint venture between Michelin, Dundee City Council and Scottish Enterprise, with the aim of letting industry and academia come together with a focus on sustainable mobility, clean transport and low carbon energy.

Mabbett has also hired Kenny Dow, who was previously the former energy manager for Michelin.

Dow said: “I am excited to be returning back to the former Michelin site and being part of the transformation.

“As an experienced energy engineer, I look forward to engaging with local businesses and those in the wider geographical area in the North and East of Scotland to help them to meet their net zero ambitions.”

Derek J. McNab, managing director at Mabbett, commented: “Mabbett are proud to be locating a regional office into the City of Dundee which has been undergoing a significant transformation in recent years.

“The city is embracing its enormous potential and we look forward to playing our role through Kenny and our team from our new base at MSIP.”

Established in 1996, Mabbett is an environmental, safety, engineering and development consultancy. During the last 25 years, it has grown in Scotland - and across the UK - from a head office in Glasgow.
