Engineer dad wears stilettos and skirts to work - and says wife helps him pick outfits

A heterosexual man says he wears heels and a skirt to his work office and his wife doesn't mind.

Mark Bryan, 63-years-old, has a wardrobe which is half-full of female clothing and the dad added that the only time he isn't spotted in a pair of heels is "on the football pitch".

Hailing from Texas, but now living in Crailsheim, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany, Mark's newfound sense of fashion developed eight years ago when he started to grow bored of traditional wear, The Daily Record reported.

Mark, who works in robotical engineering said: "I see clothes as genderless and I love the freedom I get from being able to wear both men's and women's clothes.

"I first started exploring with my style when shopping with my wife and she suggested 'why don't we look at dresses and skirts?' After 20 years of wearing a suit and tie, I'd gotten bored. June 2015, I started wearing high heels with pant suits into the office."

He recalled a time when his colleagues once joked that he would come in wearing a dress and in 2018 he turned those comments into a reality.

Questioning gender stereotypes, he said: "I'm a straight, cis man and how I dress has nothing to do with sexuality. I love wearing what I wear."

Mark has been married for 11 years and has children., with the entire family living in Germany. She said: "He wears much higher heels than I do, but his legs look much better also."

The father-of-three said he was always fascinated by stiletto's and heels.

He recalls wearing them with his girlfriend at the time, as the pair danced the night away in private.

Brands like Christian Louboutin and Jimmy Choo are his personal favourites.

"If I sense someone is taking a longer look, I'll joke and say 'take a picture if you want' and it usually breaks up any tension. I live in a small town so I'm going to get some looks but they never bother me because I'm just happy in myself," he said.

The engineer said he believes "life is too short not to experiment with a personal style."

Mark is no stranger to looks from the locals but this does not discourage him embracing his personal style.

Since June 2020, Mark has been displaying his style through his 620k strong Instagram page, from which Harper's Bazaar, Vogue and Interview Magazine allowed him to do photoshoots.

"I never thought my online page would reach the amount of people I has but I feel extremely thankful," he said.
