From rural women hibiscus farmers in Sudan to tomato growers in China, a new map from Unilever shows how it is helping enhance livelihoods with its smallholder projects around the world.
The map highlights all the smallholder farmers across Unilever’s supply network and the support that the company and its partners are providing. This ranges from helping improve agricultural practices and business skills training, to strengthening women’s economic standing and promoting young agricultural entrepreneurs.
The map also shows how the impact of this work is being felt beyond just the smallholder farmers themselves. While Unilever sources from more than 1.5 million individuals, these in turn support communities of over 7 million people.
