Engagement ring and watch among valuable items stolen from house

Police Scotland is appealing for information about a blue coloured Ford Mondeo and releasing images of some of the items stolen two weeks after a house was broken into in Law.

Between Tuesday, June 4, and Saturday, June 8, the property on Spiers Gait was broken into and valuables worth a four figure sum were taken.

Constable Josh Ellwood, Lanark Police Office, said: “The householder has returned from a holiday to find that her property has been forced open and a number of valuable items have been stolen.

“Some of these items have great sentimental value, such as an engagement ring, and we will do everything we can to try and retrieve these belongings and trace those responsible.

“Some of these items may have been sold on and therefore we would ask people to look out for them, they include jewellery as well as designer trainers.

“Following enquiries we are also looking to find out more information about a blue coloured Ford Mondeo which was seen in the local area in the weeks leading up to the break-in.

“We would appeal for anyone with any information regarding this vehicle to come forward, to either rule in or rule out its involvement.”

Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact Police via 101, quoting incident number 3842 of Saturday 8 June 2019.

Alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given in confidence.
