A young man is fighting for his life in hospital and three more have been arrested following a stabbing in north London.
The victim, police said, is currently fighting for life after being stabbed in Enfield.
The stabbing occurred during a spate of violence in 24 hours in the north London borough with police responding to another stabbing and shots fired through the window of a house.
Officers and the London Ambulance Service raced to Green Street at about 12.40am on Tuesday to reports of a stabbing.
The young man was found with stab injuries and was rushed to hospital.
A spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Police said: “He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital where he is in a critical condition.
“Three men, aged 24, 26 and 27, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder. They have been taken into custody.”
Later that morning, Detectives from the Trident and Area Crime Command were called to investigate reports of gunshots fired.
A spokesman for the Police said "a number of shots were discharged through the window of a residential address" on Aversham Avenue, at about 3am.
The spokesman said: "No one was injured in the incident and there have been no arrests. Enquiries continue."
On Tuesday afternoon, just over 12 hours after the knife attack on Green Street, police attended Parsonage Lane, in Enfield, at about 1.50pm to reports of another stabbing.
A man in his 30s was rushed to hospital after being stabbed in the leg, police said, but his injuries were not life-threatening or life-changing.
The spokesman said: "One man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of GBH and taken into custody where he remains."
Police said it is not believed these three incidents are linked.
The violent attacks are the latest instances of knife crime in north London in just days after a teen was stabbed to death in a hair salon in Wood Green on Friday.
Police said at this stage “there is no information to indicate” to say yesterday and Friday's attacks attacks are linked.
