Enfield 'shooting': Boy, 5, fighting for life after being shot with pellet gun by sibling

A five-year-old boy is fighting for his life after being accidentally shot with a pellet gun by his sibling as they played in the garden.

The youngster suffered a serious injury to the chest during the shooting just before 3.30pm today at a home in Enfield, north London.

He was flown to hospital where he is in a "life threatening" condition.

Police say the boy was playing with his six-year-old sibling when the tragedy unfolded on the last day of Half Term.

"The child, aged 5, sustained an injury to his chest," a Met Police spokesman said.
