Enes Kanter wins WWE 24/7 title in MSG, trolls Knicks fans

Ex-Knicks big man Enes Kanter became a WWE champion on Monday night in Madison Square Garden, and he had a special surprise in store for all the New York Knicks fans in attendance.

Kanter was welcomed to the ring during WWE Main Event, which occurs before Monday Night Raw, and was joined by WWE 24/7 champion R-Truth. The title, which was introduced in May, can be won at any time in any location, hence the name. Kanter saw his opportunity and blindsided R-Truth with a shove to the face, and quickly scored a pinfall to win the title.

After his shocking win, Kanter unzipped his giant blue sweatshirt to reveal a Boston Celtics jersey. Kanter signed with the Celtics this offseason after a stint with the Blazers.

Kanter’s reign was short-lived, however. R-Truth rolled up Kanter from behind while Kanter was celebrating to reclaim the belt.
