Enes Kanter thinks Zion Williamson is overhyped: ‘Julius Randle with hops’

Enes Kanter might have prematurely put himself on a poster for next season thanks to his take about New Orleans Pelicans rookie Zion Williamson.

The Portland Trail Blazers center known for being outspoken and occasionally a troll on Twitter was on The Herd Wednesday, and when asked by Colin Cowherd what he thought of the Duke product, Kanter didn’t hold back.

“I kind of feel like he’s overhyped,” he said. “I kind of feel like he’s Julius Randle with hops.”

Oh my. Cowherd asked how Kanter would defend him and the center — not known for his stellar defense in the paint — said he would let Williamson shoot.

Randle caught wind of the comments and, well, he kind of dunked on Kanter:

Yes, Randle dropped 45 on the Blazers in a loss to Portland back in March, but per NBA.com, he only totaled two of those points while Kanter guarded him. But this shouldn’t concern Randle — let’s see what Williamson has to say.
