Enes Kanter stops in OKC for summer basketball camp tour

Portland Trail Blazers center Enes Kanter has been giving back to different communities around the country with his free summer basketball camps, and on Friday, he returned to Oklahoma City.

Kanter played for the Thunder for about two and a half seasons, and he came to OKC to put on a camp for the kids in the community.

In addition to the camp, Kanter also teamed up with the Children Hospital’s Foundation in Oklahoma City to create the Enes Kanter Research Fund, per Blazers Edge.

After the Blazers lost to the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals, Kanter said he’d travel the country over the summer to hold 30 basketball camps. The work Kanter is doing for communities around the nation is admirable, especially considering the camps are free to attend.

Kanter joined the Blazers in February after being waived by the New York Knicks. He will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, and free agency recruitment is set to begin June 30 at 6 p.m.
