Aberdeen-headquartered energy services group ICR Integrity has achieved a double-digit rise in turnover despite what it described as “challenging” oil and gas markets.
The group, whose services include maintenance for the oil & gas, power, chemical and defence sectors, achieved revenues of £31 million in its latest financial year, up 12% on the previous period.
Underlying earnings edged up to £8.8 million from £8.7 million after a £1.1 million investment in global expansion which saw it bolster its operations in the Middle East and USA. ICR also acquired drone-based inspection business Sky-Futures of Hayes in the South East of England in May last year.
Chief executive Willie Rennie said the results “reflect the continued investment in our international expansion and commitment to support our clients’ requirements”.
The firm, which saw employee numbers grow from 184 to 200, recently announced more than £1 million of project awards in the Middle East and the appointment of a new head of sales to support continued expansion in the region.
A key appointment to lead Norway’s operations has also been made along with expansion in ICR’s north of England base. As well as its Aberdeen headquarters, ICR has operational hubs in the UAE, USA, Norway and a JV partner in Australia.
