Energy retailer offers axed local shop staff a chance at job interview

Clydebank-based Together Energy is offering to help staff made redundant at its local Watt Brothers store by inviting them for job interviews.

The Clydebank shop was one of 10 closed down when Watt Brothers went administration on Friday with the immediate loss of 229 jobs. Its flagship department store in Glasgow remains open for a clearance sale.

Together Energy is expanding its service after Warrington Borough Council took a 50% stake in the company for £18 million. The electricity and gas retailer offers customers dual energy tariffs on a three-year fixed term and promises to champion the communities in the areas where it is based.

Watt Brothers' Clydebank staff, believed to number around 22, are invited to visit Together Energy's head office in the town's North Avenue on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday between 9-10am.
