When the Guardian launched a call-out asking women with endometriosis to share their stories at the beginning of this month, we were overwhelmed by an unprecedented response. Within a day we had heard from 600 people. Emails have continued to arrive each day, even after we closed the form.
This week we have published a series of articles on endometriosis – and the response from women around the world has once again been extraordinary. Not only were they willing to tell their stories in a public forum but many also wanted to support one another, to share what has worked for them and where they have found help.
Endometriosis has been called the silent disease, both because it’s internal and because it once wasn’t spoken of. But it’s clear that women who have it are talking about it a lot, and want to talk about it more.
We’re opening this thread for women who want share what has worked for them in coping with the symptoms of endometriosis.
This is a forum for people to share information about their experiences and should not be taken as medical advice. No one should change their course of treatment without consulting their primary health carer or specialist doctor.
