Oliver Skipp looks to be taking that opportunity.
The midfielder, of course, is far from unknown to Mauricio Pochettino and made his breakthrough into the Lilywhites' first team last season. He made eight Premier League appearances in the 2018/19 campaign, as well as two games in the FA Cup, picking up two assists in the 7-0 demolition of Tranmere Rovers.
The 18-year-old has even won a place onto the nominations for the Golden Boy award alongside the likes of Real Madrid pair Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior, new £118m Atletico Madrid signing Joao Felix and Roma duo Nicolo Zaniolo and Justin Kluivert also nominated.

With links to the likes of Dani Ceballos and Giovani Lo Celso it would seem that Spurs are still aiming to bolster the middle of the park but if Skipp can keep up his current standard he's bound to get an opportunity.
