Grave news. It has come to my attention that erstwhile Seventh Doctor Sylvester McCoy is displeased by today's panto article. Though news has filtered through to me in a slightly Chinese whispers-ish manner, there was talk of some sort of retribution for the disrespect I have shown to this venerable art form.
I can assure Sylvester that I am a huge fan of the great British pantomime, and have been unable to resist celebrating it even in tomorrow's Westminster-based comment piece. His own outing this year as 'Orrible Herman in the Derby Assembly Rooms' production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs - also starring Marlene off of Only Fools and Horses and a comedy duo called Simmons and Simmons, whom I assume are prefaced with the words "the hilarious" - looks an absolute belter, and he is hereby wished the most glorious of festive runs.
