Marking its 10th anniversary, End of the Road festival at the Larmer Tree Gardens in Wiltshire will play host Sufjan Stevens’ first UK festival show.
Among the first names added to the lineup at the September event, Stevens’s rare appearance will be his only European festival show of 2015. It will support his forthcoming album, Carrie & Lowell his first record in four years. Stevens, who is known for his lavish stage performances, will mark only his second-ever festival appearance on the Saturday night of End of the Road.
He joins headliners Tame Impala, who are currently priming for the release of their third record and top the bill on the Friday night, before the War On Drugs cap off the weekend with their only summer festival gig in the UK this year, on 6 September.
Elsewhere on the bill are Tame Impala sideline Pond, Toronto five-piece Alvvays, Ty Segall’s band Fuzz, the return of Django Django, Natalie Prass and, with sounds less in keeping with the festival’s bucolic landscape, punk-hop duo Sleaford Mods and rockers Fat White Family.
Tickets to the event, held from 4-6 September, are on sale from endoftheroadfestival.com/tickets.
