'End of the road!' BT Sport pundits provide stark Mauricio Pochettino verdict after Spurs blow

BT Sport pundits Jermaine Jenas and Joe Cole have questioned the future of Mauricio Pochettino after Tottenham's 3-0 defeat at Brighton on Saturday afternoon.

Spurs were already low on confidence following a 7-2 hammering at home to Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday night but it didn't get any better at the AMEX Stadium.

Neal Maupay opened the scoring for Brighton after Hugo Lloris misjudged a cross and let the ball go before going over his own line, something which allowed Maupay to net the easy opener.

Lloris sustained a seemingly serious arm injury after falling to the ground following the mistake, before Aaron Connolly netted twice either side of the half to confirm a comfortable win for the hosts.

Immediately after the final whistle, both former Tottenham midfielder Jenas and ex-Chelsea star Cole provided their verdicts on Spurs and Pochettino's future at the club.

"The club is in disarray. Tottenham were dreadful and had no desire and heart. Tactically they looked inept and Pochettino looked uninterested. We are getting to the end of the run with the club and the manager. As a group it has fallen apart," Cole told BT Sport.

Jenas added: "I have been at the football club when there have been changes before. I like him (Pochettino) but it stinks of that moment.

"Things seem very stale. The players are not applying themselves. Something has to change, hopefully it's the players' mentality and not the manager."
