The lead stars of The End Of The F***ing World have revealed how they forged their friendship in a haze of boozy glory.
Jessica Barden, who plays Alyssa in the hit Channel 4 TV series, confessed she and Alex Lawther got drunk together the first time they met.
The 27-year-old actress spoke at the world premiere of The End Of The F***ing World season two about their close relationship off-screen.
Speaking to Mirror Online, Jessica unveiled: "Our first experience together, we always say it was like weirdly like Alyssa and James because we went to a nightclub and we don’t usually frequent those places.
"We went there and both got dry eyes, like to s**t - we couldn't see anything.
"I'm really just seriously remembering that memory."

She continued: “I just felt like Alex was the type of person that would look after me. Whenever I'm telling the story I'm being genuine, it was a special moment of my life.
“Like when I’m dying I'll probably think about it!"
Alex, 24, who plays James, praised Jessica for being such a good partner to work with and that she’s helped him with the role, confirming their close bond.
"My job was very easy because Jess is so brilliant," Alex gushed.

He also admitted his role as James was hard to adapt to.
"At first I had to really work on what being a psychopath meant to James, because ultimately he isn't a psychopath and he's ultimately capable of very deep feeling.
"I had to work out why he was calling himself a psychopath and trying to make that really clear in the story as he lost his mother."
Talking about his role in the show, he said it’s easier when you have a good partner to work with.
"When you have a good partner to work with then you're just sort of filling in the blanks and it makes it easier to film, and that's Jess."

The end of season one saw Alyssa and James running away from the police after committing a series of crimes.
James was shot down by the police as Alyssa watched in horror, but the pair meet again in season two.
The dark comedy brings a new twist in the second series, as new character Bonnie, played by Naomi Ackie, makes an appearance.
The rest of the series will play back to back over the rest of the week, with the epic finale on Thursday night.
*The End Of The F***ing World airs from Monday November 4 to Thursday November 7 with two double-bill episodes across the week on Channel 4 from 10pm
