A man has been arrested as part of an EncroChat investigation in an early morning raid at an address in Wirral.
The National Crime Agency (NCA) swooped on a house in Greasby and arrested Simon Roberts, 57, of Circular Drive who has since been charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin.
An eyewitness who saw the raid on the morning of Wednesday, June 30, told the ECHO they saw police taking away bags of what appeared to be evidence.

Pictures showed several police officers at the address and the eyewitness reported seeing a police van.
A spokesperson for the National Crime Agency (NCA) said: "A man has been charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin as part of an investigation by the Merseyside Organised Crime Partnership (OCP).
"Simon Roberts, 57, of Circular Drive, Greasby, Merseyside will appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Thursday 29 July.
"The Merseyside OCP investigation is part of Operation Venetic – the United Kingdom’s law enforcement response to the takedown of the encrypted comms platform EncroChat."
