Central Embassy is celebrating its 5th anniversary with the world premiere of a world-class art and design project that will transform its ground floor and the front area into a forest of inspiration for one month, from Thursday May 2 until June 2.
Presented for the first time in the world, Tilting Forest is the second creative art-architectural installation by Snarkitecture, a New York-based collaborative and innovative design studio that enchanted visitors at the shopping mall with an interactive art installation called The Beach two years ago.
Designed to reflect the shopping mall's celebratory campaign of "Let Life Inspire You", Tilting Forest illustrates how inspiration is all around when we open up our minds to possibilities.
It will get viewers into the forest of inspiration, featuring a landscape of average 10m-tall colourful blue cones that interact with people by swaying and shifting colours once touched.
The cones are extraordinary, with white, blue and light-blue to enhance the experience of viewers, whether they are standing up close or from a distance.
For this occasion, Benjamin Porto, a partner and architect from Snarkitecture, will join the opening ceremony on ThursdayMay 2 at 6.30pm. He will then give an open talk on "Snarkitecture: Not Art/Not Architect" on Saturday at 6pm. The venue is Open House, 6th floor.
A range of exclusive items such as T-shirts, tote bags, mugs and pins especially designed for this event will be available.
