If you go down to the woods on Boxing Day you're sure of a very glamorous surprise as The Holly Ball returns to Newcastle for another year.
The annual event is always a grand affair in the city and it will be back at As You Like It next Thursday, December 26 with a magical theme...the Enchanted Forest.
A teaser from the event organisers reads "This year we are re-imagining the most glamorous event in Newcastle's social calendar. Step into a world of mystery and intrigue, and let us captivate you under the canopy of The Enchanted Forest Holly Ball.
"Feast on our delicious menu selection and enjoy a tipple with your friends and family as we extend the Christmas festivities through our Enchanted Forest themed, black tie event. "
The Boxing Day spectacular will include: Welcome drinks on arrival, Showgirls with a twist, Bacon Sandwiches at Midnight, Enchanted themed outdoor terrace, Trapeze and Burlesque show, casino tables, a live DJ and live music from C Collective.
There is all the option to dine in style at the Ball for £39 head with an Asian Fusion menu available to tuck into, including dishes like chicken gyozas, Teriyaki Salmon Fillet, Steamed Kimchi Dumplings and Five Spice Chocolate Torte.
This year's Holly Ball will raise money for The Chronicle Sunshine Fund and St Oswald's Hospice.
