Italian Cuisine Week at the EmQuartier

The 3-day-long Italian Cuisine Week held at the EmQuartier will wrap up today amidst the celebration of numerous Italian cuisine dishes and fine ingredients.

Hosted by the Embassy of Italy and the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), the festival, which runs into its 6th year, is held simultaneously in 110 countries worldwide under this year's concept of “Sustainability - Tradition - Innovation”.

It aims to promote more sustainable and environmentally mindful consumption and combine innovations to bring new gastronomical charms to traditional dishes of Italy.

Thus visitors will find during the event, set at the Quartier Avenue at EmQuartier, more than 30 shops and booths showcasing fine food and beverages from cooking masters, wine makers, artisan food producers, grocers and big-name manufacterers.

In the event, the Plaza Zone presents favourite Italian dishes prepared to traditional recipes such as Neapolitan pizzas, fresh homemade pasta and trattoria-styled porchetta sandwich; the Market Zone offers premium quality ingredients including a wide variety of cheese and charcuteries imported from Italy; and Exhibition Zone illustrates the Italian gastronomic and culinary culture under the concept of sustainability, tradition and innovation.

Bangkok's leading Italian restaurants participating include Brunello, Duo Cucina, Peppina, Sole Mio and Nonna Nella by Lenzi.

The marketplace-style event is entertained by live music and a dynamic lineup of activities such as onstage demonstrations as well as virtual cooking classes and Italian wine pairing classes via a lifestream by master chef and sommelier from Parma, Italy.

The 6th Italian Cuisine Week takes place at Quartier Avenue of The EmQuartier shopping mall until 10pm today.
