Empty shelves, grid locked car parks and queues show Christmas 2019 was the year of supermarket chaos

If you've visited a supermarket over the last few days you'll know how busy stores were.

There have been reports of shoppers crying Tesco , grid locked car parks at Asda and Costco was even forced to open early due to the open of customers outside its stores before it opened.

ECHO photographers have been out and about witnessing the chaos across the stores. This afternoon many stores were left with empty shelves as shoppers got in touch with us to say it looked like there had been an apocalypse.

If you're not sick of shopping yet, some stores have even started its Boxing Day sales including Boots and Marks & Spencer.
