'Empire' stars coming to Chicago for album signing

March 20--The stars of the hottest show on network television are coming to Chicago to sign copies of the No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart.

Jussie Smollett and Bryshere "Yazz" Gray -- who plays brothers Jamal and Hakeem Lyon, respectively, on Fox's massive hit, "Empire" -- are scheduled to sign copies of the show's soundtrack March 27 at the Harold Washington Cultural Center in the Bronzeville neighborhood. In order to take part in the signing, you need a wristband. And in order to get this wristband, you have to buy the soundtrack at the FYE store at River Oaks Center mall in Calumet City.

The signing will mark the co-stars' first public appearance in the Chicago area -- which is where "Empire" films, as you probably already know -- since the show became a ratings juggernaut. The "Empire" soundtrack was released March 10 and sold 130,00 albums in its first week, edging out Madonna's "Rebel Heart" for the top spot.

According to Nielsen ratings, 16.7 million viewers tuned in for "Empire's" two-hour finale Wednesday.
