Emotional Neil Lennon savours Celtic triumph as he admits quadruple treble is a 'dream come true'

Emotional Neil Lennon admits Celtic's quadruple treble triumph is a 'dream come true'.

The Parkhead side rode their luck at Hampden as they let a two-goal lead slip to Hearts in the Scottish Cup Final.

It ended level after 90 minutes and the Jambos responded once again in extra time to force penalties.

Kris Ajer stepped up to convert the winning spot kick as Celtic etched themselves in the history books.

And Lennon struggled to put the unprecedented achievement into words.

He said: "You have no idea, I am getting emotional here. You have no idea. I have been here 20 years and you take the rough with the smooth.

"It's a monumental achievement for the club. I would like to dedicate it to Mr Desmond, Peter and the board for their unwavering support,

"It's been a difficult time, and the players, they really, really felt it the longer the game went on, you could see the anxiety coming in, it showed.

"It's a very special moment for me on a personal basis, I have been here 20 years and I think I've become the first player to do it (the Treble) as a player and a manager.

"I'm in a unique band of one and I am very, very proud.

"I am very grateful to the people who have supported me and achieved this along the way."
