Emotional footage captures the moment an elderly lady was reduced to tears of joy when she received an early Mother's Day present.
In recent years Bonnie and George Miller have found it increasingly difficult to live alone.
The 87-year-olds had managed to support each other well until Bonnie fell and broke her shoulder.
Concerned that the couple couldn't carry on living safely by themselves, their son Schon and daughter-in-law Jeannie decided to turn their basement into a new suite for them to live in.
Schon and Jeannie will now be able to help the old couple with everyday tasks in the house they now share in Bremen, Ohio - rather than the pensioners having to move into a care home.

In the video Bonnie can be seen being wheeled into the living room
'Oh my god," she says, unable to hold back the tears.
"It's so pretty. Oh god. It's got the gorgeous blue.
"Look at everything. Oh guys. We love you."
She continues to enthuse about the new home as Schon and Jeannie take her on a tour, pointing out features that will make it easier for her to navigate and look after herself.

Schon said: "We had been talking about it with mum for a while because we knew they were leaning on each other with one good body and one good mind.
"One can't live alone without the other and we didn't want either one to end up in a nursing home.

"When mum broke her shoulder falling, we started looking for a house that already had a finished mother-in-law suite.
"But when we couldn't find anything, we decided to blow a hole in the basement wall, get rid of our fun stuff like the pool table, instruments, and karaoke area and move them in so we could take care of them."
