Courageously Sophie has remained positive and created a list of things she would like to do and experience, which included visiting the This Morning studio.

She said: "It's smaller than I thought... I thought it was real windows!"

Holly Willoughby made a surprise appearance via video call, as she is Sophie's favourite presenter, and gifted Sophie with a tiara she wore during the Christmas pantomime last year and her I'm A Celebrity water bottle from when she presented the show in 2018.

This emotional story and Sophie's bravery reduced many viewers to years with one tweeting: "Sophie is a beautiful brave young lady and I would happily watch an entire show of them making her dreams come true. #thismorning"

Another said: "Sophie is a beautiful and inspirational girl...life is so unfair #ThisMorning"

One said: "Omg I'm in tears at that. Little Sophie, amazing. #thismorning"

And: "Oh Sophie, I'm crying me eyes out" followed by a crying emoji and white hearts."
