Mourners yesterday bid a final farewell to a beloved schoolboy who tragically died in a drowning accident.
Loved ones lined the streets for Dean Irvine as he took his final journey to his funeral in Hamilton.
The 11-year-old was laid to rest at Bent Cemetery after a touching procession past Celtic Park.
Around 100 local residents, friends and family gathered to pay their respects in Fleming Way on Thursday near the youngster's family home in Hillhouse.
And just like the evening vigils that took place last weekend for Dean, mourners donned the green and white hoops in tribute to the young Celtic fan.
These colours were seen in flares that were set off as the hearse carrying Dean began its journey.

In an emotional day for Dean's family, a post from his aunt, Jade Law, led tributes for the youngster.
She said: "Today is your day handsome boy. I hope you love everything we (with so much help) have managed to do for your last goodbye.
"Even covered in Celtic badges for you wee man.
"I know you’ll be up there running rings around everyone. You were the most mischievous yet kind hearted, smart little boy and I am so proud to be your auntie.

"Our hearts hurt, we still aren’t ready for this but I know your up there helping us all through it today.
"I love you so so much Deano, you are forever in our hearts. Missing your cheeky wee grin everyday."
Relatives and friends had "Deano" printed on the back of their football tops along with the number 11.
The crowds applauded and fireworks were heard as a convoy of cars headed towards Celtic Park.

Some cars in the convoy played the club anthem 'You'll Never Walk Alone', with the words also on a card beside the coffin and flowers reading "Deano", "Son", "Brother" beside a bouquet made into a football.
In a touching moment, club staff gathered at the stadium to applaud the cortege, which then continued to T&A Fyfe Funeral Directors in Hamilton.
Celtic also kindly agreed to sign a hoops top for Dean last week, which was the shirt he was laid to rest in.
That came as a family friend managed to secure a Bugatti Chiron worth £2.7million to be in attendance at the 11-year-old's funeral.
Dean sadly passed away on Saturday at Alexander Hamilton Memorial Park in Stonehouse. Emergency services rushed to the scene but were unable to save the youngster who had gotten into difficulty in the water.
A fundraising page set up to help towards Dean's funeral costs was able to raise over £4500 with donations still coming in to support his family.
The efforts to give Dean the perfect send-off have been fantastic in what has been a very difficult couple of weeks.
These include the organising of vigils by The Monday Club, the kids group Dean attended, as well as car enthusiasts group Lanarkshire Outlawz who have shown immense support every day by organising his balloons, the convoy of cars and many other special tributes to young Dean.
