Emmerdale viewers were quick to praise the ITV soap on Wednesday as they aired a scene referring to the Covid-19 vaccination.
During the latest episode, Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) was seen getting emotional as he told his son David Metcalfe that he had just had his second jab.
The highly-charged scene saw the two men still respecting social distancing rules as they stood apart from one another, and their characters spoke about making up for lost time.
Fans tuning in at home were delighted with the nod to the vaccination and were quick to tweet about it.

A third viewer added: "Awwwww David and pollard getting all emotional about pollard getting his 2nd vaccine! Well done #emmerdale for putting in such a beautiful scene and praising how brilliant the nhs are doing!"
A fourth person penned: "David’s reaction in #Emmerdale to Eric having the vaccine is just like me with my parents. They’ve only had their first one but il be exactly the same as David when they get their second."

Another Emmerdale fan tweeted: "Aw Eric and David getting emotional about his vaccine. Nice they’re including the vaccine into their storylines #Emmerdale."
