Eamonn Holmes has said that his mum is "completely lost" without his dad in an emotional interview with Vinnie Jones on This Morning today.
His dad tragically died when he was just 65 after suffering a heart attack while he was driving in the countryside in Northern Ireland.
Eamonn's dad's death had a profound effect on his mum, who he said has never been able to get over his death.
Addressing Vinnie's new autobiography, Eamonn said: "The book is called Lost Without You and to anybody who's going through this Vinnie, they are lost.
"I mean, my dad's dead 30 years and I can say that my mum is completely lost without him. She's been grieving 30 years without seeking help for it.
"A lot of people will be in that situation. Hopefully you won't be lost forever - do you think Tanya would want you to move on? Or how would you move on?
"It's early days to be even thinking about that but what are your thoughts?
Vinnie replied that he didn't think that he "had to move on too much".
"I think the precious life that we had together for 27 years together is going to override the rest of my life," Vinnie said. "As I said, it's a lifetime that I've lost her but not for eternity.
"Where I do want to move on and help is Tanya's mum, Tanya's mum, her brother, her dad."
He added that everything was still "very fragile" at the moment and that her death a year ago still feels as though it was last week.
