Families across Merseyside took to the streets to applaud frontline workers as the nation prepares to celebrate the 75th anniversary of VE day under lockdown.
Once again, people across Liverpool and Merseyside came out of their homes to show their support for the NHS and all the key workers on the front line of the coronavirus pandemic.
Residents in Park Road North, in Birkenhead, applauded outside their home which was clad with union flag bunting ahead of the bank holiday weekend.
Shortly before the applause, the residents sang a rendition of "We'll Meet Again", made famous by Vera Lynn during World War Two.
The show of support comes as homes across Merseyside were decorated with posters and other tributes ahead of tomorrow's VE day celebrations, despite the country still being under lockdown.
Fireworks were also let off in a show of support for NHS staff, carers and other frontline workers.
One city centre resident said: "I think the fireworks are a fantastic display of how much people want to support the NHS at this time.
"The clapping, cheering and banging of pots is great but the fireworks just mean that everyone across the city can hear how proud we are of all our caring staff."
Seven more people have died from the virus with three of the new deaths in today's bulleting came at Liverpool's main University Trust, which covers the Royal, Aintree Hospital and Broadgreen.
The totals for all Liverpool Trusts are now as follows:
Liverpool University Hospitals Teaching Trust - 341
Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital Trust - 17
The Walton Centre NHS Trust - 6
Alder Hey Children's Hospital - 4 (all adults)
Mersey Care Mental Health NHS Trust - 3
Wirral's main NHS Trust recorded one further death today, to reach a total of 178.
The Southport and Ormskirk Trust total has gone up by two to 121, while the Trust covering St Helens and Knowsley has risen by one to 164.
The Halton and Warrington NHS Trust total also rose by one in today's update and now stands at 94.
Earlier today, Merseyside Police said that it would break up any large gatherings and carry out random car stops to enforce coronavirus legislation over the bank holiday weekend.
This comes after police arrested 13 people and and issued 11 more with fines for breaching coronavirus legislation during two parties last weekend.
